Anthony Chue


 

Composer

Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Anthony Chue is best known for his music scores for movies such as Divergence (directed by Benny Chan) and All About Love (directed by Ann Hui).


He majored in music composition at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver where he studied composition with Stephen Chatman and Eugene Wilson, and jazz with Fred Stride. He has also studied with world renowned jazz musician John Novello in Los Angeles.

His career began in 1996 in Hong Kong where he started out by orchestrating music for movies such as Jacky Chan's Mr. Nice Guy, and performing and recording with many of the major artists in Hong Kong, such as Aaron Kwok, Jacky Cheung, Vivian Chow, Sammi Cheng, Coco Lee, and toured with many of them all over China, Taiwan, Japan, Southeast Asia, North America, Australia and New Zealand.


His latest work is his score to S-Storm, a thriller directed by David Lam, and a performance with superstar Vivian Chow in Las Vegas as her music director and pianist.


He currently divides his time between Vancouver and Los Angeles, where he is represented by The Kaufman Agency.
